Long Time No Post

It's been a long time since I posted on this blog, trust me it is not for lack of my rowdy boys doing things to talk about! I was thinking about this story the other day... I was trying to limit television watching a little bit and encourage more outside activities.. I set the parental controls on the TV, using the remote, all you have to do is set a 4 digit code to access it and change the settings... I think it was raining one day, or for some reason, I had decided to let them watch TV, I gave them the 4 digit code, figuring I would just change it when they went to bed.

So, I went to change the code to lock the TV again and can you believe they beat me to it! They changed the code so that I couldnt get back on it, they removed the parental controls and changed the code, so I couldnt get in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What will they think of next?

It has begun!

It has begun, the fun of spending time at the school with the principal. Days of In school Suspension. Threats of pending arrests.... Yep, this week it all began... With any luck this will be the first and last week, but, I fear not. On Wednesday, the school called to tell me that Quinton called someone an F'n Fag (full use of the words of course) The coach agreed to let me take care of it, and he would not put it on his permanent record. I promised to handle it and Q and I had a long talk about worrying what other kids think.

On Thursday, I called home to tell the boys I would have to work late. Zachary told me that Quinton Paralyzed someone at school. He was hysterical, telling me the story of Quinton throwing his backpack at someone and he fell and ended up paralyzed.

Next, I checked my voicemail to find a message from the principal stating that I need to get right to the school to pick Quinton up, as he had been involved in an altercation.

Quinton was running with a friend who apparently was winning the race. Quinton scooted his backpack towards his pal and tripped him. The boy has a small tear in his achilles tendon (we know this because we went to the ER to see him)

The principal and I met the next day and we discussed the options, Quinton could have been arrested and charged with malicious horseplay or something like that.... Luckily all agreed it was an accident and Quinton ended up with 3 days in school suspension....

I truly hope this was isolated, I truly fear that it was not!

Tools in the dryer

my thirteen year old put his sneakers in the dryer and boy was in noisy! He stated that it was going to be too loud if he tried to go to bed, as the laundry room is right below his bedroom. Later, while rotating laundry, I found a hammer, a screwdriver and all the other contents of my tool bag inside the dryer.... Guess my nephew thought they needed to be dried!!!

Cussing 2 year old

my brother told my nephew to clean up his mess, the 2 year old boy turned to him and said, "That's your shit!"

Black Bed Sheets

Zach wanted to get new sheets for his room. I was happy that he took an interest in decorating his room! We went to walmart and he chose black sheets and a two-sided comforter, black and maroon.

Upon bringing them home, My brother says to me, "I wish you wouldve consulted me before you bought those."
"Why," I ask.
"Black sheets, 13 year old boys, not a good idea"

Who thinks of this stuff?

Project Runway

The boys watched project runway with me the other night. The task that evening was to make an outfit out of paper. Next thing I know, Jerrod comes strutting through the living room in a paper dress, he did a little catwalk turn followed by quinton running behind him and pulling the dress down to reveal jerrod's shorts. Holy crap, I couldnt stop laughing. I will say that his paper dress was pretty darn creative and looked better than some of the ones on the show!

Next, they demo'd a paper hula skirt in honor of my recent trip to Hawaii. OMG, they crack me up!

A Bicycle Chop Shop?

Last week, Quinton's bicycle was stolen from school. The next day, the boys took my camera to photograph a friends bike, that was the same in order to put up signs for the stolen bike. Next thing I know, the boys bring home Quinton's bike, in pieces. They found it in the woods, next to another bike, parts of his bike had been removed and placed on the other bike, which by the way belonged to a friend at school and was stolen the previous Friday... A bicycle chop shop, on base? Really??
